@Jthmeffy for whatever its worth, taking the plastic off your cigars does absolutely nothing for them.

The most damage you will get in cigars comes from friction cause by, say, over handling them, and removing wrappers. Just leave the wrapper on.Think about it, when you go to a cigar store, they don’t unwrap their cigars so that they can remain humidified.

@ToBaCCoRoW Thanks :) It really seems to be keeping the humidity up perfectly.. Great price for how well of a job it does!

@Charredbriar Alrighty, I’ll do that in a minute here. I just wasn’t sure, so I left them alone. Thanks for the advice!

Nice stuff! Those humidity tubes are what my cigar guru buddy uses, too. He’s been collecting and smoking cigars for many years…I’ll do a video sometime of his collection. He keeps ‘em in HUGE coolers. He says you are always supposed to take the plastic off of your cigars so they can absorb the humidity. Take ‘em out of the plastic wrappers.

yea man distilled water is what you want to use! the solution it a money pit and i got that info from a guy that sells the stuff! i too use the crystals and they work great and you don’t have to fool around with them like the old sponges or foam! good video man!

WOW! What a GREAT idea! I like to experience the pleasure of a top-shelf premium cigar after dining or while out on the town, but I don’t smoke the whole cigar at once. This is an ideal way to securely save the rest of my expensive smoke for a later time. I love the compact design, and the fact that it also stores matches, an ashtray AND a cutter. This is a must-have cigar companion!
